Range Repair
Dual-fuel and all-gas Wolf ranges — surface burners, oven cavity, igniters, gas valves and the control boards that tie the two halves together.
$89 service call, credited in full against an approved repair. On site 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, seven days; the phone is answered 24/7. What the repair itself runs.
What we get called out for
- The oven side heats fine but two of the surface burners just click and never light.
- Dual-fuel range shows a flashing display and the oven will not come on at all.
- Burner flames are yellow and lifting off the cap instead of sitting blue and tight.
- The oven door will not seal after a self-clean cycle and heat pours out over the top.
What each of those usually turns out to be
- Flame is yellow and lifts away from the cap
- That is an air/gas mixture problem, not a dirty burner. Caps seated a fraction out of position, a partially blocked venturi, or an appliance set up for the wrong gas type will all do it. Worth resolving quickly — it sooths pans and wastes gas.
- Door will not shut properly after self-clean
- Self-clean puts the latch, hinges and gasket under real stress. A door that now sits proud at the top is normally a hinge that has lost tension or a latch that did not fully release. Do not force it — the glass pack is under load when the hinges are wrong.
- Display is dark and nothing responds
- Start at the breaker — a dual-fuel range sits on a dedicated circuit and a nuisance trip looks identical to a dead board. If power is confirmed, it is the low-voltage supply on the control board or a failed transformer far more often than the board being scrap.

What it costs
What this work runs in Issaquah
The same complaint can be a cracked electrode or a control board, so each line below is a range rather than a single number. Which end of it your appliance lands on is decided by the diagnosis, on site, before anything comes apart.
Flat $89 service call covering the visit and full diagnosis, credited against the repair once you approve it.
Finished cost — parts and labour together
- Igniter or spark module $180–$430
- Burner valve or orifice service $230–$580
- Oven thermostat or sensor calibration $190–$460
- Convection fan or motor $270–$670
- Control board or touch panel $480–$960
- Door hinge, glass or seal $280–$750
Against replacing it $8,060–$18,670 for a comparable professional range, before installation and ventilation work.
Once the fault is found you are given one firm figure from inside that band — parts, labour and the return trip if something has to be ordered — and the work starts only after you have agreed it. The $89 you paid for the visit comes off that total. If anything is found underneath that changes the job, you are asked again before we carry on.

Second-hand house, second-hand range, and nobody had ever serviced it. The hinges had sagged so the door sat proud at the top. New hinge set and a gasket, and it shuts like it should.
Cody V. · Klahanie · Nov 2025
Two rear burners clicked and never caught. An earlier quote said the whole cooktop was finished. The electrode had cracked and was arcing to the pan support. Replaced, and he cleaned the caps while he was in there.
Garrett P. · Issaquah Highlands · Sep 2025
Flames were yellow and lifting off the caps after our propane conversion. He reset the air shutters and the low-flame screws on all six burners. Blue and steady now, and no soot on the pans.
